Foundations of Formative Research Methodology (3.3 of 3.6)

3.3 Multiple Perspectives #2

How can you help Dr. Adams? After reading Reigeluth and Frick (1999), Richey and Klein (2007) and Bannon-Ritland (2008) you should have a good foundation of Formative Research. Now we are going to look at the processes behind this research method. Reigeluth and Frick (1999) and Hays (2006) will provide you a sufficient knowledge base to develop a plan on how to help Dr. Adams.

4. What procedures are associated with the naturalistic case study? Read Reigeluth and Frick, pp. 638 & 639-644.

5. Think about formative research in relation to the scientific method. Read Hays, The Science of Learning, Chapters 1 and 2.
